HUNTING SEASONS:
The Newfoundland
big game hunting season begins the third Saturday of
August each year for bow-hunting only. Two weeks later
the season opens for rifle and black powder. The normal
rifle season in Newfoundland is from the second Saturday
in September to the second Saturday in December. Variations
may occur annually for certain areas.
WHAT TO BRING:

Outfitting suggest that you bring the following items
with you on your Newfoundland big game hunting trip:
Binoculars, rain clothes, sleeping bag, pillow, personal items,
rifle and/or bow, ammunition, thermal underwear, and
lightweight waterproof footwear.
SUCCESS RATE:
We enjoy success
rates comparable to all Newfoundland outfitters. Success
rates for big game rifle hunting in Newfoundland is
above 95%. Our camps are so perfectly located in the
remote interior that we enjoy success rates above the
Newfoundland average for both moose and caribou.
HUNTING PRICES:
Our prices are
all in U.S. dollars and they include license fee, HST
rebate, transportation
to and from our cabin by float plane or helicopter, all food and lodging
accommodations while there, also guides wages and transportation
of meat from cabin to your vehicle or place of butcher.
Fees include accommodations at our base camp until you
fly to our hunting camps. We ask for a booking fee in U.S. dollars as a
deposit.
